The Squatters are without doubt one of the most talented DJ duos to enter the EDM industry in recent years. Hailing from Scarborough, building their reputation in the promotions game, it wasn’t long before the boys began achieving 'big fish' status as music producers & party rockers.

The Squatters first hit Dirty Smart's radar in May 2009 when news of a legal battle broke out between the boys & David Guetta, condemning their independently run record label, 'Hug Me I'm Homeless'. This incident should give you a flavour as to what The Squatters are all about. Big fun & big smiles (something the minimal / tech house invasion is doing it best to quell!)

Since '09 The Squatters have been infecting the world with their unique blend of ravey house, dub & electro, cementing a well deserved reputation as "the people's DJ's".

The Squatters represent everything we love about the EDM industry. Fortunately for them, it's not just "the people" that dig their music, clocking up original releases on Champion (Higher), Simma (One Life) & San City High (Monster), plus remixes on Burn The Fire (Cold Blank - Doin' It Right (The Squatters Remix)) & Southern Fried Records (Shinichi Osawa Feat. Tommie Sunshine - Love Will Guide You (The Squatters Remix)).

Last year The Squatters truly established themselves in the music industry, receiving props from a long list of industry moguls including Laidback Luke & Steve Aoki, a tour with Fatboy Slim, a tour of South Korea, a tour with Kissy Sellout, a residency at Judgement Sundays Ibiza, numerous plays on Radio One, & the launch of their record label 'What's Your Status?'.
To add to that, their remix of 'Kryder - K2' was snapped up by Tiesto's label 'Musical Freedom'!

The Squatters are definitely Dirty Smart’s ones to watch this year.
